They saw yesterday's post and suggested that the ads look different if I have a registered account. So, today I registered and now proudly present you with this rather muscular photo of Gael Monfils. Let's see how it looks.

Now that I've posted and seen it, I definitely prefer this form of ad (embedded within the image, and close-able to boot). It's far better than the non-removable google ads below the image. I'll have to give this some more thought and see if they have sufficiently "current" images for what I'm trying to achieve on the new site.

They claim to have a large number of sources of images. Let's see how this one of Juan Martin del Potro looks. He had a 5 set match today at the Autralian Open tennis tournament, beating American James Blake.

Update: Regrettably, fotoglif ladens the photo with ads just below it...fine for a blog, but not fine for a news site.

The image below is from his practice session earlier in the day.

Federer's opponent, Russian Igor Andreev, is the girlfriend of Maria Kirilenko, who just yesterday took out Maria Sharapova in the first round. According to reports, she told her boyfriend that it's now his turn to "make some noise" at the tournament by taking out Federer. We'll see about that. Andreev is a solid player that took Federer to 5 sets at the US Open in 2008. Federer prevailed in that match.
